RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
FOR
JOSEPH J. GARBARINO
WHEREAS, after six and one half years as an outstanding member of the
Planning Commission for the City of San Rafael, Joseph J.
Garbarino has submitted his resignation; and
WHEREAS, for the past four years as Chairman of the Commission,
"Joe" Garbarino has provided excellent leadership; and
WHEREAS, it should be recognized that during his tenure Chairman
Garbarino was a prime mover for adoption of an effective
sign ordinance, the recently established environmental
and design review standards, and commencement of studies
on a new general plan for the City of San Rafael,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby extends sincere and genuine appre-
ciation to Joseph J. Garbarino for his significant and
valuable contribution toward the well planned growth and
development of the community.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly in-
troduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on Monday the 7th day of
January , 1974, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and
Mayor Bet tini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN None. /
