RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO DEDICATE LAND FOR USE
AS PARK AND OPEN SPACE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is interested in developing a
landscaped park on 1.8 acres of land located at Kerner Boulevard and
Canal Street in the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that earth fill be placed on this land
before it can be developed and utilized as a park, which fill requires
approval of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and
WHEREAS, application has been made to the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers and dedication of this land for park and open space purposes
is requested for approval of the fill permit,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby declares its intention to designate and perpetually
retain the property to be filled under this permit for park and open
space use.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on
Monday the 7th day of January, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
