RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO DETACH PROPERTY FROM THE MARINWOOD
COMMUNITY SERVICES' DISTRICT. '
WHEREAS, on January 16, 1974, the Local Agency Formation Com-
mission approved annexation of the territory described in Exhibit
A attached hereto, to the City of San Rafael without notice, hearing
or election; and
WHEREAS, the resolution by the Local Agency Formation Commission
approving said annexation required the City of San Rafael to initiate
detachment proceedings for the land lying within the Marinwood Com-
munity Services District.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael hereby
initiates detachment proceedings of the real property set forth in
Exhibit A lying within the boundaries of the Marinwood Community
Services District.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City
held on the 4th day of February 1974, by the following vote,
to -wit,
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.

OLD LUCAS VALLEY ROAD ANNEXATION
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL - 1 February 1974
BEGINNING at a point.on the existing San Rafael City Limit Line said
point being the most northerly corner of parcel "G" as shown in Volume 13 of
Maps at page 32, Marin County Official Records; thence leaving said City L.imit
Line N 110 27' 51" E, 28.95 feet to a point 30.00 feet from the existing
centerline of Lucas Valley Road (FAS 1278(2)); thence running parallel to and 30
feet from said centerline on a non -tangent curve to the left whose center
bears S 110 27' 51" W,127O.00 feet, through a central angle of 130 57' 51",
for an arc distance of 309.53 feet; thence on -a tangent curve to•the left
with a radius of 290 feet through a central angle of 350 30' for.an arc
length of 179.68 feet; thence 5 870 30' W, 744.03 feet; thence on a tangent
curve to the left with a radius of 1013 feet, through a central angle of 310
15', for an arc length of 552.50 feet; thence S 560 15' W, 375.77 feet; thence
on a tangent curve to the right with a radlus*of 1052 feet, through a central
angle of 370 45', for an arc length of 693.13 feet; thence N 860 00' W, 673.10
feet; thence on a tangent curve to the left with a radius of 3070 feet•, through
a central angle of 90 22', for an arc length of 501.89 feet; thence S 840 38' W,
1397.71 feet; thence on a tangent curve to the left with a radius of 1230 feet,
through a central angle of 70 48' 11", for an arc length of 167.52 feet to its
intersection with the southerly extension of the easterly line of the property
described in volume 3 of Official Surveys at page 111 Marin County Official
Records; thence leaving said line 30 feet from and parallel to said centerline
of Lucas Valley Road'S 10 09' 30" W, 75 feet more or less to the southerly

line of "Old Lucas Valley Road" as said line is described by deed from Maria L.
Lucas to the County of Marin, recorded 2 November 1898 in Book 53 of Deeds at
page 76, Marin County Official Records, said point being on the existing San
Rafael City limits; thence easterly along said city limits to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
