RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF
VOTING ON CERTAIN CHARTER CHANGES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22807 of the Elections Code of the State
of California, a proposition may be submitted to the electors at a regular or
special election; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of San Rafael specifies that
regular municipal elections are the third Tuesday in April in each odd numbered
year; and
WHEREAS, there is to be held a State of California Direct Primary
Election on the 4th day of June, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael desires to submit
certain charter changes to the electors at that election; and
WHEREAS, to do so requires the calling of a special election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 4th day of June, 1974 is hereby
designated as a Special Municipal Election for the purpose of submitting to
the electors of the City of San Rafael certain charter changes.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized to request
that this Special Municipal Election be consolidated with the State of California
Direct Primary Election to be held in the City of San Rafael and she is further
authorized to conduct all other proceedings necessary to effect such consolidation.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the 4th day
of March, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
