Special Meeting: Present: Albert J. Boro, Mayor
San Rafael City Council Paul M. Cohen, Councilmember
Barbara Heller, Councilmember
Joan Thayer, Councilmember
David J. Zappetini, Councilmember
Also Present: Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
I.INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL TWO 4 YEAR POSITIONS ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION - TERMS
TO EXPIRE THE END OF JUNE, 1998 (CC) - File 9-2-6
Council interviewed the following applicants to fill two unexpired terms on the Planning
Commission (Christopher Besenty had previously withdrawn his name):
James Atchison
Timothy Bowen
Lawrence Manning
Philip Royce
N. Gary Cohen
Ann Batman
Edward Trapolin
Gary 0. Phillips
Irwin Taranto
Councilmember Heller moved and Councilmember Thayer seconded, to reappoint Gary 0.
Phillips to fill a 4 -year term on the Planning Commission, to the end of June, 1998.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Thayer, Zappetini and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
After discussion, Councilmember Thayer moved and Councilmember Heller seconded, to appoint
Ann Batman to fill a 4 -year term on the Planning Commission, to the end of June,
1998.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Thayer, Zappetini and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
