He explained the Vision Committee was formed to keep the heart of the City's vision moving forward, reporting that they will be addressing the issues of the Fourth Street sidewalks, which will be funded through the new Redevelopment funds, and the Julia Street project, which is at the back of the Rafael Theater. He stated the Committee will also be creating a downtown video, which will present a more positive aspect than some of the other videos that have been done in the past. Mr. Ours reported that the Downtown Trees Committee had received an award from the Marin Community Foundation, including a grant of $5,000 toward the repayment of the money that was advanced by the Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Ours presented the Foundation's award to Chairman Boro, who accepted on behalf of the City. Mr. Ours reported that 100 trees have already been planted, and five more will be planted next month. Chairman Boro stated he had reviewed the efforts of the Vision Committee, and considering what they have been working on this year, culminating with the tree planting and loan repayment, he felt the Committee had a very productive year.
