Leoncini, Agency Secretary CLOSED SESSION AGENDA ITEM - 7:00 PM - CONFERENCE ROOM 201 • Personnel Decision - Public Employee Appointment (Government Code Section 54957): Title: Acting/Interim Executive Director OPEN SESSION - RE: CLOSED SESSION ITEM - 8:15 PM Agency Attorney Ragghianti announced that Jake Ours was appointed Acting/Interim Executive Director by the Agency, effective 10/1/95. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS OF AN URGENCY NATURE None. CONSENT CALENDAR 8:15 PM Member Zappetini moved and Member Phillips seconded, to approve the recommended action on the following Consent Calendar item: ITEM RECOMMENDED ACTION 1. Approval of Minutes of Regular Meeting of Approved as submitted. August 21, 1995 (AS) The following item was removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion: 2. APPROVAL OF CANAL COMMUNITY ALLIANCE'S REQUEST FOR AGENCY PAYMENT OF POLICE SERVICES FOR SECOND ANNUAL CANAL COMMUNITY FESTIVAL (ED) - File R-103 x R-140 #8 In addition to payment for security, Member Zappetini asked who was paying for staff participation (in manning the Crime Prevention booth). Executive Director Nicolai responded the Police Department would be paying for the officers' participation, as it is a normal function of the Police Department to participate in these types of activities. She noted that this was not a special budget item for the Police Department. Chief Krolak estimated the Police Department's participation to be two officers, each working four hours, at a cost of approximately $200.00. He agreed this was something the City would normally provide as a community service. RESOLUTION NO. 95-23 - RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REIMBURSING THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL FOR COSTS FOR POLICE SERVICES FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL CANAL COMMUNITY FESTIVAL.
