Member Phillips moved and Member Cohen seconded, to approve the recommended action on the
following Consent Calendar items:

Member Zappetini asked if, once we purchase the trees, do we get them all at once and then
have to maintain them until we find a spot for them? Assistant Executive Director
(Public Works) David Bernardi stated that Cyr Miller, Planning Commissioner, will
be handling the maintenance of the trees. Mr. Miller reported that the trees will
all be delivered the same day, placed at the spot where they will be planted, and
they will all be planted by the end of the week in which they are delivered. The
trees are expected to be delivered August 21st. Mr. Miller stated that on the evening
of August 24th there are approximately ten individual groups that will be doing special
plantings, as well as plantings throughout the week being done by children.
Member Heller informed Mr. Miller that the Council is purchasing a tree, and Chairman Boro

added that the Councilmembers are purchasing the tree as individuals, not on behalf
of the City.
Member Zappetini moved and Member Cohen seconded, to adopt the resolution.
