San Rafael City Council Paul M. Cohen, Councilmember
Barbara Heller, Councilmember
David J. Zappetini, Councilmember
Absent: Gary O. Phillips, Councilmember
Others Present: Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
1.INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE UNEXPIRED TERM ON THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS
COMMISSION - TERM TO EXPIRE THE END OF APRIL, 1999 (CC) - File 9-2-24
Council interviewed the following applicants to fill one unexpired term on the Cultural Affairs
Commission:
Carol Levy
Terese Redinger
After discussion, Councilmember Cohen moved and Councilmember Zappetini seconded, to appoint
Terese Redinger to fill one unexpired term on the Cultural Affairs Commission to the
end of April, 1999, and to appoint Carol Levy as Alternate.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Zappetini & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Phillips
2.INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE TERM ON THE FIRE COMMISSION - TERM
TO EXPIRE END OF MARCH, 2000 (CC) - File 9-2-5
Council interviewed the following applicants to fill one term on the Fire Commission:
Charles I. Daniels, Jr.
Jack MacPhee
James Young
As Mario DiPalma was unable to attend the interview, he asked that his name be withdrawn at
this time.
After discussion, Councilmember Zappetini moved and Councilmember Cohen seconded, to reappoint
Charles I. Daniels, Jr. to a four-year term on the Fire Commission, with term to expire
end of March, 2000.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Zappetini & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Phillips
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM.
