MARIN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SCHOOL FACILITIES AND TAKING RELATED ACTIONS (RA)

Health and Safety Code Section 33445, Committing Funds for Improvements to
the School Facilities Within, or Serving Residents of, the Central San
Rafael Redevelopment Project Area and Taking Related Actions (RA)
SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
1.Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Rafael Making Finding
Required by Health and Safety Code Section 33445, Committing Funds for
Improvements to School Facilities Within, or Serving Residents of, the
Central San Rafael Redevelopment Project Area and Taking Related Actions
(RA)
Chairman/Mayor Boro opened the public hearing.
Economic Development Director Jake Ours explained these items are for a transfer
of funds to the College of Marin for projects in connection with the 1995
bond issue, reporting there was approximately $250,000 that would be used
for the Distance Learning Center in the Canal area.
Mr. Ours reported the College of Marin had not yet been able to conduct the
necessary public hearings, which must be held prior to the College coming
before the Redevelopment Agency and the City Council. He stated the
College has placed the new bond issue on their agenda, and they asked that
this public hearing be continued to June 21, 1999.
Member/Councilmember Phillips moved and Member/Councilmember Heller seconded, to
continue the special joint public hearing to June 21, 1999.
