Special Meeting: Present: Albert J. Boro, Mayor
San Rafael City Council Cyr N. Miller, Vice-Mayor
Barbara Heller, Councilmember
Gary O. Phillips, Councilmember
Absent: Councilmember Cohen (arrived at 6:50 p.m.)
Also Present: Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL TWO, FOUR-YEAR TERMS ON THE
SAN RAFAEL FIRE COMMISSION, WITH TERMS TO EXPIRE END OF MARCH, 2005 (CC)
File 9-2-5
Council interviewed the following applicants:
Richard Heine
Mary Ellen Irwin
Jim Weatherhead
After discussion, Councilmember Phillips moved and Councilmember Heller seconded, to reappoint Mary
Ellen Irwin and Richard Heine to fill two, four-year terms on the San Rafael Fire Commission, with terms to
expire end of March, 2005.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen
(Councilmember Cohen arrived at meeting.)
2. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE POSITION COVERING TWO
AND ONE-HALF MONTHS OF AN UNEXPIRED TERM AND A FULL FOUR-YEAR TERM ON THE SAN
RAFAEL PLANNING COMMISSION, WITH TERM TO EXPIRE END OF JUNE, 2005 (CC) -
File 9-2-6
Council interviewed the following applicants:
John Alden
Wilma Gibbons
Rob Simon
Craig Thomas Yates
After discussion, Councilmember Miller moved and Councilmember Heller seconded, to appoint Rob
Simon to fill one position covering two and one-half months of an unexpired term and a full four-year term
on the San Rafael Planning Commission, with term to expire end of June, 2005.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
