1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL TWO, FOUR-YEAR TERMS ON THE
SAN RAFAEL BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES, WITH TERMS TO EXPIRE END OF APRIL, 2005

Council interviewed the following applicants:
Ellen Caulfield
Glena Coleman
James Weber
Patricia Zentner
Craig Thomas Yates
After discussion, Councilmember Cohen moved and Councilmember Phillips seconded, to reappoint
Ellen Caulfield and Glena Coleman to fill two, four-year terms on the San Rafael Board of Library
Trustees, with terms to expire end of April, 2005.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller
2. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL THREE, FOUR-YEAR TERMS ON
THE SAN RAFAEL CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION, WITH TERMS TO EXPIRE END OF APRIL,
2005 (CC) – 9-2-24
Due to one applicant moving out of the City, interviews were postponed for the other three applicants.
City Clerk to call for additional applications to fill three, four-year terms on the Cultural Affairs
Commission. Interviews to be held on June 4, 2001, at a special meeting.
3. ACCEPTANCE OF RESIGNATION OF ROB SIMON, NEWLY APPOINTED PLANNING
COMMISSIONER, AND APPOINTMENT TO FILL A TWO MONTH UNEXPIRED TERM PLUS A FULL
FOUR-YEAR TERM ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION; TERM TO EXPIRE END OF JUNE, 2005

After discussion, Councilmember Cohen moved and Councilmember Miller seconded, to accept
resignation of Rob Simon, and appoint John Alden to fill a two-month unexpired term, plus a full four-
year term on the Planning Commission, with term to expire end of June, 2005.

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM.
