IN THE CITY MANAGER’S CONFERENCE ROOM 201, CITY HALL, MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2002 AT 7:15 PM
Special Meeting: Present: Albert J. Boro, Mayor
San Rafael City Council Paul M. Cohen, Vice-Mayor
Barbara Heller, Councilmember
Cyr N. Miller, Councilmember -
(Arrived at 7:30 p.m. after first interview)
Gary O. Phillips, Councilmember
Absent: None
Also Present: Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
Bob Brown, Community Development Director
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL ONE, FOUR-YEAR TERM
TO THE END OF JUNE, 2006 AND ONE UNEXPIRED TERM TO THE END OF JUNE, 2003,
ON THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD (CC) – FILE 9-2-39
Council interviewed the following applicants:
Brent Dickens
Joseph Grasso
Anne Laird-Blanton
Eric Rekdahl
After discussion, Councilmember Cohen moved and Councilmember Heller seconded, to appoint
Anne Laird-Blanton to fill one four-year term to the end of June, 2006, on the Design Review
Board.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSTAINING: COUNCILMEMBERS: Miller (due to absence from first interview)
After discussion, Councilmember Cohen moved and Councilmember Phillips seconded, to
appoint Brent Dickens to fill one unexpired term to the end of June, 2003, on the Design Review
Board.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSTAINING: COUNCILMEMBERS: Miller (due to absence from first interview)
Staff to revise Ordinance relating to the Design Review Board to allow an alternate member; to be
brought to the City Council at a future date.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM.
