AGENCY CONSIDERATION:
4. RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDING LOAN AGREEMENT WITH ALTO STATION (BRIDGE
HOUSING) IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000 FOR A RESIDENT MEETING ROOM AT 55
FAIRFAX STREET ("CAHIP") (RA) — FILE R-438 x R-173
Economic Development Director Nancy Mackle stated the Agency provided a loan to BRIDGE Housing,
a non-profit, to purchase a 40 -unit apartment building at 55 Fairfax Street in the Canal neighborhood.
The purchase and apartment rehabilitation have been completed; however, BRIDGE determined
additional work is needed for this apartment complex. Ms. Mackle explained that the residents lack a
meeting room and BRIDGE has completed plans to construct one. Ms. Mackle reported that a non-
profit provided half of the funds needed for construction, and BRIDGE is requesting additional funds
from the Agency to fund this meeting room. She reported that a one or two page Modification
Agreement would be generated by the Agency's legal counsel, Goldfarb and Lipman, and would be
recorded against the property. She explained this Modification Agreement would amend the Regulatory
Agreement, Loan Agreement, Deed of Trust and the Note already recorded on the property. A copy of
the meeting room plans was included in tonight's packet.
Indicating she was available to answer questions, Ms. Mackle stated Lisa Grady, BRIDGE Housing was
also present should there be additional questions.
Member Heller inquired when the project would commence and be completed. Responding, Ms.
Mackle stated the apartment rehabilitation is complete already; the final permits for the meeting room
are being obtained and it is hoped to have the building permits within a couple of weeks. She
anticipated it would be started this year.
Member Heller moved and Member Cohen seconded, to adopt the Resolution.
