Unapproved Minutes of Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting of Wednesday, September 8, 2004 (RA) — File R-140 IVB 3. Resolution Authorizing an Extension of the Exclusive Right to Negotiate Agreement with Century Theatres for the Development of a Cineplex Downtown (RA) — RIP R-407 RECOMMENDED ACTION Minutes approved as submitted. Accepted report. Upcoming Events: - File R-181 x R-140 #8 (Verbal) Economic Development Director Nancy Mackle announced that Kimballs from Emeryville closed escrow on their property on Friday and would be moving to the former New Georges in San Rafael. She stated it was exciting to have a first-class R & B entertainment venue coming to San Rafael. Ms. Mackle noted the following upcoming events: • Two Thursdays remain of the Farmers' Market; • A new event called "Art Beat" by the Downtown Art Works, takes place on October 2 and 3; • The Mill Valley Film Festival, which would stage a lot of activities in San Rafael because of the problem with the Mill Valley theatre, from October 7 through 17; • Blues, Brews and BBQ on October 16; and • The Traditional "Trick or Treat" on October 30, 2004.
