Mayor Kate called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. and requested Deputy City Clerk Brenna Nurmi call
the roll. All members of the City Council were present.
Deputy City Clerk Brenna Nurmi informed the community that the in-person meeting would also be
recorded and streamed live to YouTube and through Zoom, and members of the public would
provide public comment either on the telephone or through Zoom. She explained the process for
community participation on the telephone, through Zoom and in-person.

Mayor Kate introduced the item.
Genevieve Coyle, Assistant City Attorney provided comments on three proposed motions.
Mayor Kate invited public comment.

Councilmember Bushey moved and Councilmember Kertz seconded to adopt the Resolution
Declaring Canvass of Votes Cast and Results of the Consolidated General Municipal Election
Held on November 8, 2022, as relates to the election of Eli Hill to Councilmember for District
2.
AYES: Councilmembers: Bushey, Kertz, Llorens Gulati & Mayor Kate
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
RECUSED: Councilmember: Hill
Resolution 15171 – Resolution Declaring Canvass of Votes Cast and Results of the Consolidated
General Municipal Election Held on November 8, 2022, as relates to the election of Eli Hill to
Councilmember for District 2
Councilmember Kertz moved and Councilmember Hill seconded to adopt the Resolution
Declaring Canvass of Votes Cast and Results of the Consolidated General Municipal Election
Held on November 8, 2022, as relates to the election of Maribeth Bushey to Councilmember
for District 3.

Resolution Declaring Canvass of Votes Cast and Results of the Consolidated General
Municipal Election Held on November 8, 2022, as relates to the election of Lucia Martel Dow
to Board of Education Trustee for Area 2 and to the election of Carolina Martin to Board of
Education Trustee for Area 4.

Mayor Kate administered the Oaths of Office to Councilmember Eli Hill, District 2 and
Councilmember Maribeth Bushey, District 3.
Deputy City Clerk Brenna Nurmi administered the Oaths of Office to Lucia Martel Dow,
Board of Education Trustee, Area 2 and Carolina Martin, Board of Education Trustee, Area 4.

Mayor Kate adjourned the meeting at 6:46 p.m.
