San Rafael City Council Gary O. Phillips, Vice-Mayor
Paul M. Cohen, Councilmember
Barbara Heller, Councilmember
Cyr N. Miller, Councilmember
Absent: None
Also Present: Ken Nordhoff, Interim City Manager
Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL SEVEN POSITIONS ON THE
MEASURE ‘S’ CITIZENS OVERSIGHT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CC) - FILE 9-2-58
Council interviewed the following applicants:
Patricia Zentner Lori Schifrin Reynolds Cameron
Clifford Detz Clarence Dugdale Gladys C. Gilliland
Lisa Goldstein Holden R. Herrin Paula Freschi Kamena
Lawrence “Larry” Luckham Eric Nickel Jack G. Nixon
Jacqueline Deane Schmidt Sid Waxman
Applicant Reynolds Cameron announced that he was withdrawing from consideration as he would
be moving out of San Rafael.
Following discussion, Councilmember Miller moved and Councilmember Phillips seconded, to
appoint Clifford Detz, Gladys C. Gilliland, Lisa Goldstein, Paula Freschi Kamena, Lawrence
“Larry” Luckham, Jack G. Nixon and Jacqueline Deane Schmidt to fill seven positions on the
Measure ‘S’ Citizens Oversight Advisory Committee. (At the committee’s first meeting, members
to draw lots to select three members to serve a two-year term, the remaining members will serve a
full four-year term.)
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
