City Attorney Robert Epstein requested that Councilmember McCullough enunciate in his motion that the bid be rejected and re -bid the project Councilmember McCullough moved and Councilmember Gamblin seconded to reject the bid and have staff re -bid the project with more extensive outreach Councilmember Gamblin requested that the bid be expanded to at least include the Sacramento area. City Manager's Report City Manager Schutz announced a series of "Meet the City Manager" events: September 24, 2015 at the Downtown Farmers' Market at 6:00 p.m. and October 3, 2015 at Terra Linda Starbucks between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. A canal neighborhood event is being planned which will be announced soon. Mayor Phillips COUNCILMEMBER REPORTS / REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: (including AB 1234 Reports on Meetings and Conferences Attended at City Expense) 7. Councilmember Reports • Councilmember Colin reported that she, Mayor Phillips, City Manager Schutz and Stephanie Lovette, together with a representation from Marin County, BID and San Rafael Chamber of 13 Commerce, visited Opportunity House in Palo Alto, a drop in day and affordable housing center, which was developed to assist the homeless population. • Mayor Phillips indicated this was a very good experience. • Councilmember Gamblin announced the Downtown San Rafael Indian Summer Stroll event this Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. SAN RAFAEL SUCCESSOR AGENCY: 8.
