A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC
WORKS DIRECTOR TO ACCEPT THE RELINQUISHMENT OF THREE
PROPERTIES FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ALONG EAST AND WEST
FRANCISCO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
completed the construction of the 580/101 Overpass in 2010; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has notified the City of San Rafael of their intention to
relinquish associated portions of right-of-way that are outside the state highway systems
per the requirements of Section 73 of the Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the sections of right of way are shown on the drawings labeled "Rel
No 56112 & 56120 State of California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency,
Department of Transportation, RELINQUISHMENT in the City of San Rafael, Road 04 -
MRM -10 l =PM 10.3/10.7, Road 04 -MRM -101 -PM 10.0/10.6, Road 04 -MRN -101 -KP
16.1/17.1" a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael authorizes the Public Works Director to sign the State form accepting the road
right-of-way into the City road system.
I, ESTHER C. BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on 20'h of January 2015, by the following vote to wit:
