RESOLUTION NO. 14038
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CALIFORNIA STATE FUNDED PRESCHOOL
SAFETY NET GRANT FROM THE MARIN CHILD CARE COUNCIL IN THE AMOUNT
OF $30,000 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 TO SUPPORT THE PICKLEWEED
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE GRANT DOCUMENTS WITH SPENDING AUTHORITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS
:
WHEREAS
, the City of San Rafael operates the Pickleweed Preschool at the
WHEREAS
, in past years the Marin Child Care Council has awarded the City of
San Rafael funds to improve quality programming at Pickleweed Preschool; and
WHEREAS
, the City of San Rafael has been awarded a Safety Net Grant from
the Marin Child Care Council for State Preschool Services in the amount of $30,000 for
Fiscal Year 2015-2016.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
, that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael does hereby approve acceptance of the California State Funded Preschool
Safety Net Grant from the Marin Child Care Council, in the amount of $30,000 for fiscal
year 2015-2016 to support the Pickleweed Preschool Program, and authorizes the City
Manager to execute all required grant documents and to appropriate funds in the
Childcare Special Revenue Fund for spending under the terms of the Grant.
