CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUTION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
JEFFREY BUSCHER
WHEREAS, Jeff has worked for the San Rafael Fire Department for over 30 years and has served as
Battalion Chief since 2005; and
WHEREAS, In addition to overseeing ten fire stations for three communities (San Rafael, Larkspur
and Marinwood) with 30 on -duty personnel, Jeff manages a host of ancillary
assignments, including facilities, apparatus and special equipment; and
WHEREAS, Jeff also oversees the Central Marin Training Consortium (CMTC) which serves as a
coordination point for fire and rescue training for five Marin fire agencies; and
WHEREAS, Jeff is a consummate team player who elicits confidence due to his professional expertise
and local knowledge of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Jeffs proven track record of on time performance, efficiency, innovation, effectiveness
and creativity has helped saved lives, reduced injuries, reduced time delays and saved
considerable amounts of money; and
WHEREAS, Jeff naturally motivates and maintains a strong personal commitment and unparalleled
degree of loyalty to the City of San Rafael and the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Jeff is a true public servant; one who is helpful to all and very generous with his time and
expertise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael do
hereby extend their congratulations and appreciation to Jeffrey Buscher as Employee of the Quarter for
the 2"6 quarter of 2013.
