A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS
OF THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is a member of the League of California Cities ("League"), an
association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange
information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities; and
WHEREAS, the operation of the League and its Board of Directors is governed by the League's
Bylaws, which may only be amended by a vote of two-thirds of the League's members voting on the
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the League's Board of Directors has submitted to its members for a vote the two
proposed amendments to the League's Bylaws set forth in the proposed resolution attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves the two
proposed amendments to the League Bylaws set forth in the attached proposed resolution, and authorizes
the City Manager to register the City's vote in favor of the amendments on the official League Ballot on
Bylaws Amendments.
I, Esther C. Beirne, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, held on Tuesday, the 2nd of April, 2013, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Colin, Connolly, Heller, McCullough & Mayor Phillips
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
