A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO PURCHASE ONE
POLICE INTERCEPTOR SUV TO REPLACE POLICE DEPARTMENT PATROL
VEHICLE #229, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $43,000.00, FROM FOLSOM
LAKE FORD SALES UNDER THE CALIFORNIA MULTIPLE AWARD SCHEDULE
CONTRACTS PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, existing Ford Police Interceptor Sedan Unit #229 has been
surplused and will be sold to the Town of Ross; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase a replacement vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the City participates in the California Multiple Award Schedule
Contracts program, which complies with the competitive bidding requirements under
San Rafael Municipal Code Section 2.55.260 for the purchase of such vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Folsom Lake Ford is a current approved dealer for the California
Multiple Award Schedule Contracts program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is
authorized to take such actions necessary to accomplish the purchase from Folsom
Lake Ford Sales one Ford Police Interceptor SUV for a total, equipped cost not to
exceed $43,000.00, from the Vehicle Replacement internal services fund.
1, ESTHER BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on the 7th day of October, 2013, by the following vote, to wit:
