TO
MARIN SANITARY SERVICE
WHEREAS, Marin Sanitary Service is an award-winning resource and recovery service
that provides curbside trash, recycling and composting services, operates
recycling, resource and hazardous waste facilities, and provides
environmental education; and
WHEREAS, Marin Sanitary Service participated in the inaugural Greening for Profit
business sustainability program, and sponsored San Rafael City Schools'
participation; and
WHEREAS, Marin Sanitary Service has developed a Sustainability Plan, one element
of which is to start an employee newsletter with a spotlight on
sustainability, and to include a sustainability corner in their current
customer newsletter; and
WHEREAS, Marin Sanitary Service has identified other means of increasing
sustainability in their business practices from the Greening for Profit
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend and recognize Marin Sanitary Service for
participating in the }Greening fbr Profit program and being a leader in business
sustainability. 0,
