CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
HARNEY CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, Harney Construction is a recognized Green Business that offers a wide
variety of home improvement services from sustainable construction to
solar solutions to energy-efficient home upgrades; and
WHEREAS, Harney Construction participated in the inaugural Greening for Profit
business sustainability program; and
WHEREAS, Harney Construction has developed a Sustainability Plan, one element of
which is to reduce waste by working with vendors to decrease packaging
and sending back unused spare parts, and by recovering more resources
from jobsites before taking them to be recycled; and
WHEREAS, Harney Construction has identified other means of increasing
sustainability in their business practices from the Greening for Profit
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend and recognize Harney Construction for participating
in the Greening for Profit program and being a leader in business sustainability.
