PRESENTS THIS

MARIN Y.M.C.A
WHEREAS, the Marin YMCA is a volunteer, mission -driven organization charged with
building strong kids, strong families and strong communities by enriching
the lives of all people in spirit, mind and body; and
WHEREAS, the Marin YMCA participated in the inaugural Greening for Profit
business sustainability program; and
WHEREAS, the Marin YMCA has developed a Sustainability Plan, one element of
which is to achieve a 25% energy savings per year through energy -
efficiency practices and equipment upgrades; and
WHEREAS, the Marin YMCA has identified other means of increasing
sustainability in their business practices from the Greening for Profit
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend and recognize Marin YMCA for participating in the
Greening for Profit program and being a leader in business sustainability.
