A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
TO APPROVE A FACILITY USE PERMIT REQUESTED BY LIBERTY
BOXING ENTERPRISES, LLC, FOR USE OF ALBERT PARK STADIUM
AND BASEBALL FIELD, OCTOBER 19, 2012 FOR A PROFESSIONAL
BOXING EVENT
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael owns and operates Albert Park and the stadium and
baseball field facilities therein; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Nave, President of Liberty Boxing Enterprises, LLC requests the
use of the stadium and field facilities in Albert Park to stage a professional boxing event on
October 19, 2012 and;
WHEREAS, Mr. Nave utilized the facilities on September, 16, 2011 for an identical event
with no negative incidences or impacts with the exception of noise; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the request and
received public input at a regular meeting on June 21, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Commission voted unanimously to recommend the City Council approve
a Use Permit for the facilities for the event on October 19, 2012, subject to the provisions in the
Professional Boxing Event Management Plan, October 19, 2012, Albert Park Baseball Stadium
and Field.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DOES RESOLVE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
TO APPROVE A FACILITY USE PERMIT REQUESTED BY LIBERTY
BOXING ENTERPRISES, LLC, FOR USE OF ALBERT PARK STADIUM
AND BASEBALL FIELD, OCTOBER 19, 2012 FOR A PROFESSIONAL
BOXING EVENT
I, Esther C. Beirne, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, held on Monday, the 2nd of July, 2012 by the following vote, to wit:
