RESOLUTION
NO. 13431
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH DC ELECTRIC FOR ON-
CALL
the City requires professional electrical maintenance services for
various facilities throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, the c|ocbice| contracting Onn of DC E|cuthu provided u
proposal for such services; and
WHEREAS, City Council finds it is appropriate to waive the bidding
requirements for this contract as the work is of highly specialized nature and it is unlikely
that there would be any competitive advantage to requiring bidding for the contract, and
WHEREAS, contracting with onelectrical maintenance contractor for on-call
services will save the staff time, and increase response time for electrical repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Son Rafael does horc6v authorize the Public Works Director to enter into u Professional
Services Agreement, inuform approved bvthe City Attorney, with l)C Electric for uone-year
tcmu in on amount not to exceed $150,000. with an option to extend this /\grcconont for two
additional one-year ionmo in an amount not to exceed $150.000 for each additional year,
subject to the approval of the Public Works Director.
