CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS

TO
MARC LEVINE
WHEREAS, Marc Levine was elected to serve on the San Rafael City Council in November 2009;
and
WHEREAS, in 2011 Marc was elected Vice Chair of the Marin Telecommunications Agency
representing San Rafael's financial and service interests on the MTA; and
WHEREAS, Marc chaired the Council Subcommittee on Homelessness in 2012, resulting in action
steps to address homelessness and quality of life issues in San Rafael, and chaired the
C'ouncil's Group Homes Subcommittee to consider several policy alternatives; and
WHEREAS, Marc also served the community as the City representative to the Association of Bay
Area Governments, the North Bay Division of the League of California Cities, an
Alternate Commissioner of the Bay Conservation and Development Commission and an
Alternate Director of the San Rafael Sanitation District and Central Marin Sanitation
Agency; and
WHEREAS, Marc was elected in November 2012 to represent the 10°i Assembly District, comprised
of Sausalito. Tiburon, Larkspur, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, San Anselmo, Kenttield,
San Rafael, Fairfax, Novato, West Marin, Petaluma, Cotati, Penngrove, Sonoma,
Sebastopol, and parts of the City of Santa Rosa. and
WHEREAS, Marc demonstrated a strong commitment and dedication to families and all residents of
San Rafael in carrying out his duties on the San Rafael City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby extend their gratitude to Marc Levine for three years of service to our residents, businesses.
neighborhoods, organizations and City staff, and wish him the best in the State Assembly.
