A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
ENTER INTO PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH
MILLER PACIFIC ENGINEERING GROUP AND ROLLO AND
RIDLEY, INC., FOR ON-CALL GEOTECIINICAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department requires geotechnical
engineering services for various public works general projects; and
WIIEREAS, a Request For Proposals was issued, and Miller Pacific
Engineering Group and Rollo and Ridley, Inc. were determined to be the most qualified
candidates to perform geotechnical engineering services for the City; and
WHEREAS, staff determined that two geotechnical engineering firms
would provide the best service for the City to address the geotechnical services needs.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of San Rafael does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to enter into Professional
Services Agreements, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Miller Pacific
Engineering Group and with Rollo and Ridley, Inc., for a one-year term in an amount not
to exceed $50,000 each, with an option to extend these agreements for two additional one-
year terms in an amount not to exceed $60,000 for each additional year, subject to the
approval of the Public Works Director.
I, ESTHER C. BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City on the 7`h day of February, 2011, by the following vote, to wit:
