CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUTION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
URSULA DAVIDSON
WHEREAS, Ursula Davidson, after four years as a member of the Board of Trustees
for the City of San Rafael Public Library, has retired from that position as
of April 2011; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davidson began her service on the Library Board of Trustees in May,
2007; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davidson has been a staunch supporter of public library services in
San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davidson served as the "lynch -pin" member of the Library Board of
Trustees, holding seats at the same time on the board of directors of both
the Friends of the San Rafael Public Library and of the San Rafael Public
Library Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davidson has strongly advocated during her tenure on the Library
Board of Trustees for a new Library for San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davidson has expressed interest in continuing to work with the San
Rafael Library Foundation as it builds community support for our Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend Ursula Davidson on her many contributions to the
community during her tenure with the City and wishes her well in all of her future
endeavors on behalf of the Library.
