CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUTION OF dPPRECIdTION
TO
CHUCK STUCKEY
WHEREAS, Chuck Stuckey, after eleven years as a member of the Board of Trustees for the
City of San Rafael Public Library, has retired from that position as of April 2011;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey began his tenure on the Library Board of Trustees in October, 2000;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has served as Chair for the Library Board of Trustees for several
years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has been a staunch and determined supporter of public library
services in San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has brought considerable professional expertise to this position; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has strongly advocated during his tenure on the Library Board of
Trustees for a new Library for San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has also contributed towards the establishment of the San Rafael
Public Library Foundation as a separate non-profit entity with a goal of raising
support and funds for the expansion of the San Rafael Public Library; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey has expressed interest in continuing to work with the San Rafael
Library Foundation as it builds community support for our Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby commend Chuck Stuckey on his many contributions to the community during his
tenure with the City and wishes him well in all of his future endeavors on behalf of the Library.
