TO
BRADLEY MARK
FIRE CAPTAIN SPECIALIST
WHEREAS, Fire Captain Specialist Bradley Mark has been a member of the San
Rafael Fire Department for twenty years; serving in the positions of Fire
Inspector, Deputy Fire Marshal and Fire Captain Specialist; and
WHEREAS, Capt. Mark participated as a Fire Investigator on the Marin County Fire
Chiefs Fire Investigation Team, and as a member of the Marin County
Hazardous Materials Incident Response Team, and he served as the
President of the Marin County Fire Chiefs Fire Prevention Officers
Association; and
WHEREAS, Capt. Mark coordinated the activities of the Household Hazardous Waste
facility protecting our environment and the Wildland Urban Interface
vegetation management program, including removal of flammable
vegetation and creating defensible space on over 8,000 parcels located
throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Capt. Mark made a significant difference in the lives of many people
through his efforts with fire safety education, fire prevention and fire
protection engineering, helping not only people to be better prepared for
fires, but also the buildings they live and work in.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael do hereby congratulate and thank Captain Bradley Mark for twenty
years of dedicated service to the San Rafael community and wish him and his family a
healthy and happy retirement.
