A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE UNMARKED 2011
FORD TAURUS POLICE VEHICLES FROM SERRAMONTE FORD SALES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $74,051.25, AS PART OF A CITY OF SAN RAFAEL COMPETATIVE
SEALED BID PROGRAM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Three unmarked Police Department vehicles are at the replacement
time frame; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase the replacement vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and the
vehicles use information and supports replacement of these vehicles in question; and
WHEREAS, the City participated in a Competitive and Sealed Multiple Bid
WHEREAS, Serramonte Ford is the lowest bidder in the City of San Rafael
Sealed Multiple Competitive Bid Process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid from Serramonte Ford for
three unmarked Ford vehicles at the specified unit price is hereby accepted and that the
purchase order for said vehicles in those amounts is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to
take any and all such actions and make changes as may be necessary to accomplish
the purpose of this Resolution.

resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City on the 17th Day of October, 2011, by the following vote, to wit:
