A RESOLUTION AWARDING PURCHASE ORDER FOR ONE (1) BMW MODEL R 1200 11
POLICE MOTORCYCLE FROM BMW MOTORCYCLES OF SAN FRANCISCO IN THE
AMOUNT OF $24,602.77.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS

WHEREAS, unit #150, a marked Police Department motorcycle, has met the
replacement time frames; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase a replacement of unit #150; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and vehicle
life information and supports replacement of the vehicle in question; and
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, the 22nd day of November, 2011, pursuant to legal
notice published in the manner provided by law, inviting sealed bids or proposals for the
work hereinafter mentioned, as more fully appears from the Affidavit of Publication
thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California, the City
Clerk of said City did publicly open, examine and declare all sealed bids or proposals for
doing the following work in said City, to wit:
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore on file in the office of said City
WHEREAS, the bid of BMW Motorcycles of San Francisco, at the unit prices
stated in its bid was and is the lowest and responsible bidder therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid from BMW Motorcycles of
San Francisco and the same is hereby accepted at said unit prices and that the
purchase order for said work be and the same is hereby awarded to BMW Motorcycles
of San Francisco, at the unit prices mentioned in said bid.
1, ESTHER BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on the 5th day of December, 2011, by the following vote, to
wit*
