HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 13077 (Traffic Safety Grant Funds)RESOLUTION NO. 13077 RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,662.40 FOR "CLICK IT OR TICKET" MINI -GRANT SEATBELT EDUCATION AND ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM NOVEMBER 15, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 6, 2011. Whereas, the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety granted the City of San Rafael $2,662.40 in grant funds; and Whereas, this grant money may be spent to pay overtime costs associated with the "Click it or Ticket" seatbelt compliance enforcement campaign: and Whereas, the City of San Rafael will conduct surveys and car stops during the enforcement period of November 15, 2010 through June 6, 2011; and Whereas, the Department will use those funds for overtime personnel costs of captains, lieutenants, sergeants, police officers, police service specialists, dispatchers and administrative personnel. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use of $2,662.40 in grant funds. I, Esther Beirne, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the San Rafael City Council held on the 15t day of November, 2010 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Brockbank, Connolly, Heller, Levine & Mayor Boro NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None Esther Beirne, City Clerk
