BETH MINKA
Employee of the First Quarter of 2009
WHEREAS,
Beth Minka is a proud member of the San Rafael Police Department. Beth works as a
Police Administrative Technician. The operation of the Police Department requires many
administrative functions and Beth is a critical part of the success the City enjoys in this
area. Because of her efforts and dedication to the business side, the Police administrative
operations run smoothly; and
WHEREAS,
Beth always has a positive attitude, she is courteous, friendly and willing to give
assistance to anyone even when she is immersed in her own work; and
WHEREAS,
Beth seeks and assumes responsibility readily and in an appropriate manner. Beth has
taken the initiative to make improvement in her work area that have made for a more
efficient Department. Beth has made significant improvements in the areas of billing, the
employee performance evaluations process, personnel records management, new
employee forms, training, and personnel procedures; and
WHEREAS,
Beth always goes the extra mile to ensure that employees in the Police Department are
taken care of. She always thinks about her co-workers and tries to do things that will best
benefit them. She does not take sides or show favoritism; and
WHEREAS,
Beth ensures that the Police Department's administrative paperwork is completed in a
timely manner and she has a great working relationship with all other Departments in the
City; and
WHEREAS,
Beth gives excellent service to all of her customers -- Police Department and other City
employees, as well as external customers such as vendors, other agencies, and the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
designate Beth Minka as the "Employee of the Quarter" for the first quarter of 2009, and express sincere
appreciation for her dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
