CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OP dPPRECIRTION
TO
TALLIA HART
CEO/PRESIDENT, SAN RAFAEL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, since July of 2005, Tallia Hart has been CEO and President of the San Rafael
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure at the San Rafael Chamber, Tallia served on the Board of
Directors of the Marin County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Healthy Marin
Partnerships and the Housing Leadership Alliance of Marin, as well as
represented local business issues at the regional and state levels; and
WHEREAS, Tallia established the Marin PAC to support business -friendly issues, created the
"Chamber University" to promote continuing education, and led the San Rafael
Business Newsletter to receive an Excellence in Journalism award; and
WHEREAS, Tallia worked tirelessly as a proponent of SMART, and assisted in the efforts to
pass the tax measure to fund this important regional transportation improvement;
and
WHEREAS, Tallia worked in a collaborative way, with enthusiasm and cheerfulness; and
WHEREAS, it was Tallia's work ethic and tenacity that led to her early success as an athlete
and member of the US Olympics gymnastics team, and these traits have served
her well in her work on behalf of the health and vitality of the entire San Rafael
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby commend Tallia Hart for her years of exemplary service to the San Rafael business
community and express sincere appreciation for her efforts.
