RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF
AND ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $109,195.00 FOR USE FOR THE SAN RAFAEL CITIZEN
POLICE ACADEMY THROUGH FEBRUARY OF 2013.
Whereas, the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice
Assistance granted the City of San Rafael $109,195 in Justice Assistance Grant
(JAG) funds; and,
Whereas, the Department will use those funds to fund the San Rafael Citizen
Police Academy through February of 2013; and,
Whereas, the City Council must approve use of the grant funds to begin the
process of grant approval;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
of and accepts $109,195 in Justice Assistance Grant funds.
I, Esther Beirne, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council held on the 3rd day of August 2009 by
the following vote, to wit:
