HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 12423 (Use Residual Funding from CA State 9-1-1)RESOLUTION NO. 12423 A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE USE OF RESIDUAL FUNDING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $19,453.49 FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE 9-1-1 EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE. WHEREAS, the State of California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office has deemed eligible $19,453.49 to the City of San Rafael for Fiscal Year 2007-2008; and WHEREAS; the Legislature mandated this money be spent for replacement of certified upgrade of emergency telephone system equipment and or supporting equipment used within the 9 -1 -1 - communications center; and WHEREAS, State of California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office has identified AT&T as being a provider of emergency telephone system equipment and services under the Master Purchase Agreement; and WHEREAS, AT&T installed the original/current emergency telephone system equipment and services for the City of San Rafael Police Department and has provided an estimated cost quote below the funding amount available; and WHEREAS, the Police Department will use those funds for costs to upgrade equipment in the communications center (carpet, chairs, wireless headsets, headsets and back up -supplies, AT&T instant radio recall and technical support). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use of $19.453.49 in residual funds. I, Esther C. Beirne, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael, held on Monday, the 4th of February, 2008 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmembers: Brockbank, Connolly, Heller, Miller & Mayor Boro NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None J � G .
