RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $1759000 FOR THE
INSTALLATION AND PURCHASE OF RELOCATABLE CLASSROOM
FOR GLENWOOD CHILDREN'S CENTER
WHEREAS, the current classrooms at Glenwood Children's Center are in need of
replacement; and
WHEREAS, the purchase will allow the program to continue to provide child care at
Glenwood Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the relocatable classroom is being made through a
cooperative purchase program with the Santa Rita Union School District and is therefore, exempt
from the City's bidding requirements; and
WIIEREAS, the Child Care Division will fund this expenditure for existing child care
funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael
does approve an expenditure of up to and including $175,000 from Child Care Division funds for
the purchase of a relocatable classroom building for Glenwood Children's Center.
I, ESTHER C. BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a re ular meeting of the City
Council of said City held on Monday, the fifth day of May 2008 by the following vote, to wit:
