PRESENTS THIS
RESOWTION OF ftPPREEIRTION
TO
CANAL BOY SCOUT TROOP 2000
WHEREAS, since its inception in 2000, Canal Boy Scout Troop 2000, under the
direction of Willy Coronado, has served the community by providing an
outstanding service learning environment for local youth; and
WHEREAS, Troop 2000 has been involved in disaster preparation activities; assisted
Santa Cop in the organization, preparation and delivery of toys; has joined
in numerous cleanups, including planning and marketing the 2008 Earth
Day event at Pickleweed Park; and
WHEREAS, the Troop has engaged in post replacement, weed removal, mulch
installation, tree pruning along Shoreline Path and at recreation centers in
San Rafael, and the renovation of Schoen Park; and
WHEREAS, this remarkable Scout Troop has volunteered in many other activities
throughout the year and with other groups in the County in a variety of
ways, including invasive plant removal and environmental stewardship of
Pickleweed Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby commend Canal Boy Scout Troop 2000 for their time and selfless efforts
on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
