PRESENTS THIS
RESMUTION OF UPRECIRTION
TO
CANAL CUB SCOUT PACK 2000
WHEREAS, since its inception in 2000, Canal Cub Scout Pack 2000, under the
direction of Ronald Berliner, has served the community by providing an
outstanding service learning environment for local youth; and
WHEREAS, they have raised money to help with disaster relief for victims of
Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma, Rita and the earthquake in Peru; as well as
worked with Marin Municipal Water District and Marin Conservation
Corps with cleanups, invasive weed removal and snail eradication efforts
with Save the Bay; and
WHEREAS, the Pack has joined in numerous city and coastal cleanups and recently
helped with the 2008 Earth Day event at Pickleweed Park; and
WHEREAS, this remarkable Cub Scout Pack has volunteered in many other activities
throughout the year and with other groups in the County in a variety of
ways, including hosting community events, environmental education, and
stewardship of Pickleweed Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby commend Canal Cub Scout Pack 2000 for their time and selfless efforts
on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
