A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AWARDING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) BMW R 1200 RT -P MOTORCYCLES
FROM MARIN BMW MOTORCYCLES IN THE AMOUNT OF $102,767.22.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, unit# 9,11,154, and 155, marked Police Department motorcycles
have met the replacement time frames; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase a replacement of unit# 9, 11, 154, and 155; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and vehicle
life information and supports replacement of the motorcycles in question; and
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, the 29th day of July, 2008, pursuant to due and legal
notice published in the manner provided by law, inviting sealed bids or proposals for the
work hereinafter mentioned, as more fully appears from the Affidavit of Publication
thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California, the City
Clerk of said City did publicly open, examine and declare all sealed bids or proposals for
doing the following work in said City, to wit:
FOUR (4) BMW R 1200 RT -P MOTORCYCLES
PROJECT NO. 600-44-46001-9270
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore on file in the office of said City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Marin BMW Motorcycles, at the unit prices stated in its
bid was and is the lowest and best bid for said work and said bidder is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid from Marin BMW
Motorcycles, and the same is hereby accepted at said unit prices and that the
purchase order for said work be and the same is hereby awarded to Marin BMW
Motorcycles, at the unit prices mentioned in said bid.
I, ESTHER BEIRNE, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on the 4th day of August, 2008, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Brockbank, Connolly, Heller, Miller & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
