STEVE STAFFORD
Steve Stafford has been a valued member of the Community
Development Department since 2002, advancing from Intern to
Planning Technician to Assistant Planner and most recently being
promoted to the position of Associate Planner; and
Steve has previously been honored as one of Community
Development's "Star Performers", exemplifying the department's
customer service ethic; and
Steve is known as Job for the patience he demonstrates in working
with members of the public at the Planning counter, helping them
understand zoning regulations and trying to find ways to achieve their
objectives; and
WHEREAS, Steve is also known as Mr. Conscientious for his unparalleled work
ethic, often being found at his desk on Saturday mornings; and
WHEREAS, Steve's fellow employees appreciate his accessibility and
responsiveness, always having time to answer questions, work across
division and departmental lines, and help resolve problems; and
WHEREAS, Steve's only fault seems to be his unwillingness to take time off.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby designate Steve Stafford as the Employee of the Quarter for the
Second Quarter of 2008, and express sincere appreciation for his dedication,
professionalism and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
