CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF di PRECIRTION
TO
50 CRESTA DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael City Council established the Design Awards
Program on March 1, 1999 to recognize development projects with exceptional
architectural design; and
WHEREAS, the City Council established a Design Awards Jury consisting of a
representative from the City Council, Planning Commission, Design Review Board,
Chamber of Commerce, Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods, North San Rafael
Coalition of Residents, and Marin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; and
WHEREAS, the Design Awards Jury met on October 5, October 19 and October
26, including a tour of the finalists, to review the 25 nominations for recognition; and
WHEREAS, the Design Awards Jury has recommended a Merit Award for
Diversity in Design at Marin Lofts at 50 Cresta Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN"RAFAEL
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The San Rafael City Council honors the building at 50 Cresta Drive as an example of
diverse architectural design, commends the building for its contribution to the City of San
Rafael, and presents a Merit Award to Jerry Kler Architects, Sausalito, and contractor and
owner Damon Porter, Porter Development Company of Santa Monica.
