A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL TO
APPROVE THE REVISION TO THE STARKWEATHER SHORELINE PARK
MASTERPLAN, SHORELINE PARKWAY SEGMENT
WHEREAS, the Masterplan for Starkweather Shoreline Park was approved in 1989; and
WHEREAS, the Shoreline Parkway Segment design does not meet current access codes; and
WHEREAS, the Shoreline Parkway Segment design calls for installation of park features that may
conflict with wildlife habitat; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Park and Recreation Commission held two public hearings to discuss
concepts for redesign of the park segment; and
WHEREAS, the Commission reviewed all options and recommends Concept Plan B as a
preferable design to accommodate public use and habitat protection of the park segment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
Approves REVISION TO THE STARKWEATHER SHORELINE PARK MASTERPLAN, SHORELINE
PARKWAY SEGMENT as it appears in Concept Plan B attached herewith.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, held on Monday, 3'd of December 2007, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips & Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
