RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF
STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC GRANT FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $24,916 FOR "CLICK IT OR TICKET" SEATBELT COMPLIANCE
ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN FEBRUARY THROUGH AUGUST 2006
Whereas, the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety granted the City of San
Rafael $24,916.00 in grant funds; and
Whereas, this grant money may be spent to pay overtime costs associated with
the "Click It or Ticket" seatbelt compliance enforcement campaign; and
Whereas, the City of San Rafael will conduct surveys and car stops during a
twenty-one day enforcement period in May and June 2006; and
Whereas, the Department will use those funds for overtime personnel costs of
traffic sergeants, police officers, police service specialists, dispatchers and
administrative personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
of $24,916.00 in grant funds.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council held on the 6th day of March, 2006 by
the following vote, to wit:
