PRESENTS THIS
RESGUITION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS,

BOOK FUND COMMITTEE
this group of concerned citizens responded to budget reductions by
stepping in to ensure that our community of readers would have
new books available to them; and
the Book Fund Committee met the challenge of raising funds to
purchase books for the San Rafael Public Library with energy and
enthusiasm; and
the Committee launched its efforts with a successful letter writing
appeal to Friends of the Library as well as personal contacts and
relations; and
WHEREAS, this group produced nine quality events that brought attention,
goodwill, and funds to the library, and two successful grant
proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby commend the Book Fund Committee members for their
camaraderie, commitment, and success on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
