CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOMITION OF dPPRECUITION
TO
MARITA GARCIA
WHEREAS, Marita Garcia has been a valued member of the Finance Division of the San
Rafael Management Services Department since July 2004; and
WHEREAS, Marita provides excellent customer service at the cashiering counter and on the
phone, maintaining a cheerful demeanor even when confronted by the surliest of patrons; and
WHEREAS, Marita faithfully ensures that all contractors obtaining permits have current San
Rafael business licenses; and
WHEREAS, Marita gave birth to one of San Rafael's finest Code Enforcement Officers; and
WHEREAS, Marita prepares mouth-watering desserts for her co-workers and helps decorate
City Hall's kitchen for employee birthdays and other celebrations; and
WHEREAS, Marita has adapted to the smallest work space in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby designate Marita Garcia as the Employee of the Quarter for the First Quarter
of 2006 and express sincere appreciation for her dedication, professionalism and outstanding
service to the City of San Rafael.
